netexpect software package provides Network Expect, a framework for manipulating network packets, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install netexpect
netexpect is installed in your system.
Make ensure the netexpect package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep netexpect *
You will get with netexpect package name, version, architecture and description in a table
